Architects and architectural firms need to be registered in the Tasmania to carry out architectural work in Tasmania or to use the term architect, architectural or similar.

For a firm to use one of the restricted terms, at least one nominated architect registered in Tasmania is required to apply for the firm to be registered in the Class – Architectural Firm and insure that the firm complies with the Code of Practice and has sufficient Professional Indemnity Insurance.
