An architect needs to be registered in the State or Territory where they carry out work.

For a firm to use one of the restricted terms, at least one architect involved in the firm will be required to provide a Statutory Declaration that they are in control and take full responsibility of all architectural components of projects undertaken by the firm and that they are covered by appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance.

To assist consumers identify Tasmanian Registered architects & approved firms the Board has issued them with a logo which includes the registered architects registration number(s).
